The Diamond Dinosaur Prehistoric Highway and Unaweep Tabeguache Scenic Byway are noted for those wishing to take in the scenery by car. River mileage on the Colorado and Gunnison rivers is noted as well, for those exploring by boat. Many recreation features are provided as well, including campgrounds, trailheads, interpretive trails, boat launches, fishing access, swimming areas, river access, and horse corrals.

Every Trails Illustrated map is printed on "Backcountry Tough" waterproof, tear-resistant paper. A full UTM grid is printed on the map to aid with GPS navigation.
