This book has been prepared as a guide to Field Excursion C-2 held in conjunction with the Fifth Quadrennial Symposium of the International Association on the Genesis of Ore Deposits at Snowbird, Utah, August 13-19, 1978. The field excursion visited several mining districts in southwestern Utah and focused on those ore deposits: Ophir lead-silver-gold-zinc-copper, Tintic silver-gold-copper-lead-zinc, Rocky copper-lead-silver-gold, OK copper, Iron Springs iron, Escalante silver, Silver Reef silver, Marysvale Uranium-gold-silver-lead-zinc-alunite, and Redmond zinc.
