The Marysvale quadrangle is in the central part of the High Plateaus subprovince of the Colorado Plateaus physiographic province. The subprovince is structurally transitional between the block-faulted Basin and Range province to the west and the stable Colorado Plateaus to the east. The quadrangle contains a series of low hills and structural basins between the faultbounded Tushar Mountains on the western edge of the quadrangle and the fault-bounded Sevier Plateau on the eastern edge.
