The Panguitch 30'x60' quadrangle spans the southernmost High Plateaus in southwest Utah, a structural and stratigraphic transition zone between the highly extended Basin and Range Province on the west and the colorful, mostly flat-lying strata of the Colorado Plateau to the east. The quadrangle is home to Bryce Canyon National Park and Cedar Breaks National Monument, and is centered on an area of exceptional scenic beauty and outdoor recreational opportunities. This geologic map and report explain the diverse geology of this region, which includes elements of basin-range, Colorado Plateau, and Marysvale volcanic field structure and stratigraphy.

This DVD contains geographic information system (GIS) files in ESRI file geodatabase and shapefile formats. Also included in PDF format are three plates-a geologic map at 1:62,500 and two explanation plates-and an accompanying 162-page booklet. The latest version of Adobe Reader is required to view the PDF files. Specialized GIS software is required to use the GIS files.
